The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister Responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, and the Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will participate in the grand opening of Marguerite’s Place tomorrow (Wednesday, February 29) at 1:00 p.m. The facility is located at 170 Cashin Avenue Extension in St. John’s. The ministers will be joined by the Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women.

Marguerite’s Place houses the offices and programs of the St. John’s Status of Women Council and its Women’s Centre. Funding for the facility has been provided through the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Affordable Housing Program Agreement, as well as the Provincial Homelessness Fund and the Supportive Living Community Partnership Project.
